General director of Goznak critically wounded in Moscow

The general director of the company Goznak has been critically wounded in Moscow. As reported to a Rosbalt correspondent by Moscow police, a call was made Thursday around 22:55 local time to emergency services stating that there were two wounded people in an apartment building on Kutuzovsky Prospect.

According to witnesses, three unknown assailants attacked the 37-year-old director, Arkadii Trauchka, and his 46-year-old driver, Valerii Filipov, as they were heading to Trauchka's rented apartment. The driver was beaten and suffered serious head injuries, but was later released from hospital. Trauchuk was hospitalized in critical condition with a knife wound to the stomach. A criminal investigation into the attack has been opened.
