Two Chechens, suspected of participation in illegal military units, have been arrested in Daghestan, on the Russian-Azeri border.
The detainees were trying to penetrate Russia via the Yarag-Kazmalyar checkpoint, the press service of the North-Caucasian regional department of the Russian Federal Security Service told RIA Novosti on Wednesday.
A special investigation is being carried out.
