Performer of acts of sabotage arrested in Chechnya

In the Oktyabrsky district of the Chechen capital Grozny, law enforcers arrested a member of Akhmadov's gang, who is known to have performed a series of acts of sabotage against the federal forces, reported the Regional Operational Headquarters for coordinating the counter-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus. The arrest was made on Tuesday.

At this moment, law enforcers are carrying out investigative work with the arrestee, a 24-year-old native of Grozny.

As of today, according to a source in the headquarters, the law enforcement authorities have proved the arrestee's involvement in a July, 2000 car explosion in Grozny's Oktyabrsky district, which killed the driver and two policemen in the car.
