The Interpol declared international retrieval for more than 80 Chechen terrorists, Pyotr Gorodov, the head of the Interpol national central bureau, attached to the Russian Interior Ministry, told a briefing on Tuesday.
According to him, first of all, the Interpol will search for terrorist leaders, such as Aslan Maskhadov, Shamil Basayev, Ruslan Gelayev and others.
The service has worked out relevant circular letters and documents and sent them to all the Interpol offices, the Interpol spokesman said. The documents imply the arrest of the waned terrorists, the determination of their whereabouts or the accumulation of information about them, Gorodov said.
