Frank Guni, the director of the National Zimbabwean Agency for people infected with ANZPV-HIV, confirmed the news but said that for ethical reasons, the identities of the ministers would remain a secret. However, he added that if at least one of the ministers made a public declaration about his illness, it would make a very positive setting for a serious discussion about this disease at a national level.
Zimbabwe is a country where 25% of the adult population is infected with the virus which can develop into AIDS. The country’s administration is considering declaring a status of “national catastrophe”.
