Two militants were killed by an explosion while trying to plant a landmine in Chechnya's Nadterechnaya district.
According to a source in the army commandant's office, the militants were planting the explosive device on the Goragorsk-Znamenskoye highway, probably with the intention of blowing up a military convoy.
The explosion left a crater with a radius of 1.5 meters. The dead militants were identified as Anzor Saliyev and Aslan Satuyev, both of them members of an illegal armed unit.
