Large batch of heroine confiscated in Primorye

Two drug dealers carrying large batch of heroine were arrested in Nakhodka /Primorye region/. In the course of the special operation officers of the detachment for the counteraction of the drugs expansion confiscated from the 34-year-old Azerbaijani male citizen and 28-year-old Russian female citizen over 100 grams of heroine, the press-service of the Primorye region Department of the Interior Affairs disclosed.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated and the investigation is underway.

According to the police data, over 5 kilograms of heroine were confiscated in 2001 and 15,38 kilograms were confiscated in 2002. Over 6 kilograms of heroine have been already confiscated since the beginning of the current year.

With a registered number of crimes connected with drugs the Primorye region occupies the second place in Russia, the press-service of the Primorye region Department of the Interior Affairs reported.
