Two men were killed and eight wounded in a terrorist act in Chechnya's Groznensky district.
The explosion took place on a motorway 700 metres from the village of Prigorodnoye last afternoon, the office of the Chechen administration head reported, referring to information provided by the Ministry of the Interior. An observation mine went off at the road side, when two armoured vehicles were carrying Russian Interior Ministry servicemen, killing an officer and injuring two officers and two soldiers.
The fallback of explosion also killed the driver of a car and injured four passengers of a bus that were passing by, the source added.
The Prosecutor's Office initiated proceedings on terrorism charges.
