Approximately 2,000 Pakistani soldiers have been deployed to the town of Wana, the capital of the Pashtun autonomous region of Southern Waziristan. In the late hours of Tuesday, 10 soldiers and officers assigned to the 23rd Baluch regiment and local Pashtun scouts were killed in a clash with Arab and Chechen terrorists from the Al Qaeda terror framework.
