Mullah Haji Haksar, remaining in Kabul after the Taliban left the Afghan capital, has pledged loyalty to the Northern Alliance, reports the On-Line news agency. "I declare support for the Northern Alliance and want to work for a peaceful future of Afghanistan", said Haksar. He is the first of the former Taliban leaders to be "received" by the "Northerners". Until now they said that there is no place for the Taliban in the future political arrangement of Afghanistan.
