Bomb-making materials found in Austrian city

Austrian police has found bomb-making materials in home in southern city of Graz, Austria. Police said Thursday they found the materials in an apartment and placed the 35-year-old resident under investigation in connection with two 1990s bombing attacks.

The materials, which authorities said included cables and detonators, had been sealed inside a bathtub and were discovered during renovation work.

The suspect, whose name was not released in line with Austrian privacy laws, was being questioned in connection with 1990s attacks on the national court in Graz, 200 kilometers (120 miles) south of Vienna, and on the home of a prosecutor involved in a high-profile murder case, reports the AP.

The case involved Jack Unterweger, a famed prison novelist who was convicted of murdering nine prostitutes in Europe and the United States.
