A major terrorist act has been prevented near the central market in the Urus-Martan district of Chechnya, the RIA Novosti correspondent was told in the press centre of the Russian Interior Ministry in the North Caucasus.

"The day before, in the course of the engineering and sapper reconnaissance operation the servicemen discovered a cache, some 200 metres from the central market in Urus Martan (thirty kilometres from the republican capital of Grozny).
