German citizen suspected of murder in Moscow

A German citizen suspected of committing a murder has been arrested in Moscow, RIA Novosti learned from a representative of the Moscow Interior Department's information and public relations office.

"A German citizen, 34-year old A.Adler is suspected of murdering his Russian female acquaintance," the agency's interlocutor said.

"According to the investigation's story, Adler pushed the woman out of the window of the fifth floor after having drunken a lot of alcohol. The 34-year-old woman died of injuries," he added.

The incident took place yesterday morning in building 12 in Sumsky Proyezd, the department reported.

The prosecutor's office has launched criminal proceedings under article 105 of the Russian criminal code, "murder". The suspect has been placed in a pre-trial detention center.
