A paramilitary grouping led by Chechen warlord Ruslan Gelayev has been destroyed completely in Abkhazia, a breakaway autonomy in Georgia, the head of the Abkhaz security service, Raul Khadzhimba, said by telephone. According to him, Abkhazia's military have over the last 24 hours led a campaign to destroy the Gelayev gang. The whereabouts of Gelayev himself are not known.
