Rescuers found 12 miners in the "Zapadnaya-Kapitalnaya" mine, one of whom is dead, reported the Emergencies Ministry's headquarters for elimination of the incident in Novoshakhtinsk.
The state of another miner is grave, the headquarters specified. The search for the 13th miner, the last of those trapped in the mine, continues. He belonged to the first group found on the second day of the search, and is considered missing.
Earlier, the miners who worked on the driving, connected the "Zapadnaya-Kapitalnaya" mine and the Komsomolskaya Pravda mine by a rescue tunnel.
A representative of the operational headquarters reported that the miners had to cover 60.72 metres.
The rescuers found an inscription on the wall of the drift, which is supposed to be left by the stranded miners.
Chairman of the Russian miners' trade union Ivan Mokhnachuk reported that the inscription "we've gone to the vent. [ventilation] shaft" was written on October 24 or 27.
The group of rescuers moved towards the ventilation shaft and discovered the miners.
