Two local residents detained in Chechnya on suspicion of complicity in terrorist gangs

In the Naurskaya district centre in Chechnya, in the course of joint operational measures staffers of the local police and the department of the Federal Security Service for the republic have detained two local residents on suspicion of participating in illegal separatist armed formations, reported on Friday the regional operational headquarters for monitoring the counter-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus.

It was reported that during the examination the detained Zaitukayev and Musayev were discovered to be holding a grenade, as well as one 200-gram and two 100-gram TNT sticks.

The law-enforcement bodies are checking the detained men on possible complicity in particularly grave crimes.
