Armed Terrorist Detained In Vladikavkaz

The gunman who captured the building of the Vladikavkaz children's clinic Tuesday has been detained. The press service of the Emergencies Ministry said the criminal "was neutralized" at 17.40 Moscow time. Policemen are searching for the explosives the terrorist allegedly put in a nine-storeyed dwelling-house close to the town market, the public relations centre of the Federal Security Service said. According to the Emergencies Ministry, the criminal seized the clinic at about 15.00 Moscow time. Interior Ministry and Federal Security Service forces managed to evacuate all patients and personnel of the clinic. After that the criminal began threatening to explode the dwelling house he claimed he had mined. He demanded a plane and 5 billion dollars. The terrorist was reported to have had two grenades.
