Two wanted bandits detained in Chechnya

Two militants have been arrested in Chechnya's Nozhai-Yurt region, near the border with Daghestan (another Russian republic). They were on the federal wanted list as participants in the invasion by Chechen gang formations of the territory of Daghestan in September 1999. The criminals, Magomed Eldarov and Suleiman Magomedov, were detained by Daghestani police officers.

The bandits are charged with involvement in illegal armed formations and thefts from Daghestani village dwellers. According to witnesses' testimony, in September 1999 Eldarov and Magomedov carried away to Chechnya truckloads of things stolen in Daghestan.
