4 cases of bird flu occur in Britain

Four people tested positive for a bird flu.

The four cases - which are not the feared H5N1 strain, but the less dangerous subtype H7N2 - were reported after a small outbreak on a farm in north Wales. Tests were performed on nine people, the Health Protection Agency said, with five testing negative. Three of the nine were hospitalized, but have since been discharged, the agency said.
