Expert: USA to Falsify Evidence of Weapons of Mass Destruction Present in Iraq

The USA will falsify evidence to prove that Iraq has weapons of mass destruction, believes General Colonel Leonid Ivashov, a Russian military expert and Vice-President of the Academy of Geopolitical Problems.

The USA will definitely "find" these weapons in Iraq, though it does not have such, Ivashov said, when speaking at a press conference in RIA Novosti on Wednesday.

He recalled that the USA had so far failed to offer the world community any convincing evidence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq's possession. The chemical weapons producing facilities, the USA could have presented as circumstantial evidence, "proved to be a cement plant", Ivashov said.

In this connection the expert said he was afraid that "in the long run the USA will resort to falsifying such evidence".

"[The USA] has to find something to justify its aggression against Iraq," the general believes.
