Russian Ambassador: We Had No Difficulties on Way Back to Damascus with Injured Driver

There were no difficulties on his way back to Damascus with his injured driver, Russian Ambassador to Iraq Vladimir Titorenko said.

"Apparently, the U.S. military patrols have been instructed by the U.S. military command," the diplomat said.

On Wednesday, he visited his injured driver Vladimir Arkhipov in a hospital in the Syrian capital.

According to Mr. Titorenko, one of the reasons for his returning to Faluja to his injured driver was the fact that U.S. military patrols on the road to the Iraqi-Syrian border knew him by sight.
