The military leadership of the Northern Alliance's forces is ready to give a corridor from the surrounded city of Kunduz only for the members of the local self-defence armed detachments, but not for Talibs and international terrorists, said on Tuesday a spokesman for the military attache in the Afghan Embassy in Dushanbe, Zamonuddin Shahobuddin. A great number of the members of these local self-defence detachments have actually become the Taliban's prisoners-of-war in Kunduz. In reply, according to Zamonuddin, the Taliban forward their own conditions. The Talibs say that they will surrender the city to the Northern Alliance if the corridor is open for all the Taliban fighters, including the members of Osama bin Laden's terrorist organisation who number about 15,000 in Kunduz. These conditions are absolutely unacceptable for the command of the Northern Alliance's troops, said Zamonuddin.
