Taliban Forces Lay Down Arms In Outskirts Of Kunduz

The Taliban forces are en masse laying down weapons in the outskirts of Kunduz, a source in the Northern Alliance's Command told RIA Novosti. According to him, an agreement on surrender of arms was made in the course of negotiations held between General Davudkhan of the Northern Alliance and Taliban's field commander Abduljalil early on Saturday morning. In the meantime, the Northern Alliance forces are carrying on with their massive assault on the city, with tank units making the most of the attack.
