Theatrical festival opens in Nizhny Novgorod. 45758.jpegThe theatrical festival named after Eugeny Yevstigneev opened in Nizhny Novgorod on Monday. It is the ninth time when the festival is held in the city. The event is sponsored by the Nizhny Novgorod administration. 

The press service of the local administration said that the event would be held in the form of the theatrical concert party. Actors from Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod region are taking part in the event.

Two groups of jury - professional and with the participation of audience - take part in the work of the festival.

The opening of the festival was timed to the birthdate of Russia's renowned actor Eugeny Yevstigneev. He was born in the city of Niznhy Novgorod and would celebrate his 85th birthday this year.
