The military of the distant garrisons and action stations will vote ahead of schedule in Russia's State Duma elections, Head of the Regional Headquarters of the antiterrorist operation in the North Caucasus, Colonel Ilya Shabalkin disclosed to a RIA Novosti correspondent.
"The early voting will be arranged for servicemen who are stationed in the mountainous districts of Chechnya, bordering on Georgia. For the most part it goes for distant garrisons and action stations in the mountains, where a two-meter deep snow layer makes it complicated to walk," Shabalkin said.
The servicemen providing security at the polls on December 7th will also vote ahead of schedule, he added.
All in all 13 election polls were set up for early elections.
