There is rather contradictory information about the number of victims in North Ossetian town of Beslan in southern Russia. Western TV companies report at least 100 dead bodies were found in the gymnasium of the school, where the hostages were kept during the crisis.
The North Ossetian Interior Ministry has virtually confirmed the information. There are dozens of dead bodies in the gym, RIA Novosti reports.
Not less than 340 people have been hospitalized to local hospitals of Beslan and Vladikavkaz. A half of them are children.
The N.Ossetian Healthcare Ministry said the patients have gunshot wounds and burns. The patients are in a serious, but stable condition.
