Russia demands respect for outcome of Donbass vote

The State Duma of the Russian Federation encourages respect for the choice of the citizens ща the People's Republic of Donetsk and Luhansk.

Deputy Duma Speaker Sergei Zheleznyak (United Russia) appealed to international organizations, as well as to the EU and the West that have expressed many negative comments regarding the legitimacy of the electoral procedures in the Donbass.

"We demand international organizations should respect the will of the people of Donetsk and Luhansk, that was convincingly confirmed by the results of the referendum held on May 11 and on the voting day of November 2," he wrote on his Facebook page.
