Two days after the tragedy

German rescue services have discovered a new site with the TU-154 and Boeing-757 wreckage. RTR-Vesti, Russia’s television informs, the site is near Ravensburg, 30 km from Uberlingen. Bodies of 68 people killed in the tragedy on July 2 have been already found (total number of people on board made up 71).

Dozens of bodies were withdrawn from the TU-154 fuselage found near Uberlingen. Searches for more bodies and other parts of the planes are probably to be finished by evening.

Relatives of the killed passengers of Russia’s TU-154 arrived in Germany from Ufa today approximately at 8:50 a.m. local time. A special flight took 139 people, two doctors, four psychologists and two journalists to the accident site.

NTVRu.com informs, bodies of the dead that can be identified by the evening will be transported today to Ufa with this very plane. TU-154 airborne recorders are in satisfactory condition, chairman of the Intergovernmental Aviation Committee’s Investigation Commission Vladimir Kofman says. Judging from the “black boxes” condition, they are not seriously damaged, deciphering will not take much time. The “black boxes” are currently in a German investigation bureau in Braunschweig. Then the recorders are planned to be delivered to Russia for a thorough study of the records by domestic specialists.

As of now, the Intergovernmental Aviation Committee is puzzled how both planes could appear at one and the same altitude, and why the standard manoeuvres designed for approaching planes were not performed at that. An international group consisting of American, German, Swiss and Russian specialists set up for the tragedy investigation is very likely to answer the questions within the nearest time.

To send aid to families of the perished children a special account was opened at JSC UralSib bank:
