Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Russia's Representative to the EU Mikhail Fradkov in Moscow on Friday. The president's press service told Rosbalt that during the meeting they discussed EU-Russian relations.
Fradkov informed Putin about how the agreements reached at the EU-Russia Summit in St. Petersburg in May are being fulfilled and about preparations for the upcoming EU-Russia Summit in Italy. 'Work has significantly been speeded up. At the St. Petersburg Summit everyone received an extra impulse. Now we have the EU-Russia Summit in Rome in November before us, and we are preparing a conception of our economic relations. Moreover, work has been speeded up in regard to our entry into the WTO. We also feel a genuine desire by the Europeans to fulfill the agreements which were reached in St. Petersburg,' said Fradkov.
