Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a greeting to participants of a gala meeting in Moscow devoted to the International Teachers' Day.
Vladimir Putin stressed that Russia "is rich in gifted teachers loyal to their profession." The Russian President also said that "really skilled teachers have always been working in Russian pedagogy" and the All-Russia Contest for the best year's teacher whose winners would be honored today in the Kremlin only proves it.
Vladimir Putin is sure teachers' labor in Russia "will always be respected. The knowledge with which children will become adults, the goals they will set and the ideals they will have depend on the teachers," the greeting by the Russian President reads.
