Popular showman elected Governor of Altai territory

According to the preliminary data, popular showman Mikhail Yevdokimov has won the second round of elections of the head of the Altai Territory's administration (south of West Siberia), Natalia Lomova, deputy head of the territorial election commission, has reported.

According to her, the election commission processed 100.0% of the ballots.

Yevdokimov garnered 49.53% of the votes, incumbent head of the Altai Territory's administration Alexander Surikov got 46.29% of the votes, with 3.35% of the voters casting their ballots against both candidates.

The turnout at the gubernatorial elections was 57.48%.
