Russia does not refuse from participation in the joint Russian-Ukrainian An-70 aircraft project, Vice-Premier Boris Alyoshin told a press conference in Moscow. He oversees the industrial sector in the Russian government.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has lately spoken up in no uncertain terms on this matter - the An-70 project should be continued, and it is already in progress, he stressed.
Simultaneously, in a comment on the negative viewpoint shared by some Russian servicemen on the future of the project, Boris Alyoshin noted that different points of view existed in the implementation of many ideas. "Not one of the latter-day aircraft has been born without the opponents' disagreement, sometimes sharply voiced. Sharp utterances are now being heard from the Defence Ministry, but I think we'll reach agreement," he said.
In his opinion, several aspects such as the pricing policy and co-operation aspects, should be revised in the An-70 project.
