Kosmos 2398 military satellite placed in target orbit

On June 4th, at 11:23 PM Moscow time, a Kosmos 2398 military satellite was launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome /north of Russia's European part/ by a Kosmos 3M rocket carrier and placed on the target orbit at 00.27 MSK, Thursday.

The military satellite has enlarged Russia's military satellite group, the press service of Russia's space troops has informed RIA Novosti.

Russian presidential plenipotentiary in the North-western federal district Valentina Matviyenko was also present at the Plesetsk cosmodrome during the launching. She congratulated the cosmodrome team launching the satellite on their success.
