Official: NATO troops to land in Uzbekistan

The rumors that NATO troops landed in the republic of Uzbekistan appeared long ago. There was even a certain military division named – the U.S. 10th mountain division. As it turned out today, NATO’s troops have not yet arrived in Uzbekistan (which is situated in Middle Asia). However, the troops are on their way.

About 1 thousand military men from the 10th mountain division of the United States are coming to the republic of Uzbekistan, according to an official representative who accompanied U.S. Defense Minister Donald Rumsfeld on a trip to Uzbekistan. Rumsfeld’s representative also stated that the goal of the specially trained soldiers will be the special operation against the Talibs on the territory of Afghanistan.
