Stroganina has very good healing qualities. The members of many expeditions to the shores of the Arctic Ocean could not survive the local cold. Many people died of scurvy, because they could not take fresh fruit and vegetables with them. The local residents, who never ate apples, did not suffer from the disease. The people ate stroganina and were immune to various diseases because of the vitamins and fats of local fish.
