Experts From the Council of Europe Take Part in Scientific-Practical Conference in Siberia

A two-day international scientific-practical conference opened on Friday in Krasnoyarsk, a centre in Eastern Siberia. A group of experts in jurisprudence from the Council of Europe has arrived in the city to attend the conference. It is headed by juridical adviser Alexander Seger.

This information has come from the press service of the Siberian Juridical Institute of the Russian Interior Ministry on the basis of which the conference is being held. It is devoted to urgent problems of the fight against crime in Siberian regions.

Law enforcers from more than a dozen regions and territories of the eastern part of the country have arrived in Krasnoyarsk.

Specialists say that of special interest for the conference participants will be the speeches by foreign guests. For example, senior officer from the New Scotland Yard Steven Michael Condon and his colleague from France Philippe Metthey will share the experience, accumulated in their countries, in preventing the penetration of corruption into law enforcement bodies.

This scientific-practical conference is now held annually at the Siberian Juridical Institute of the Russian Interior Ministry. Today it opened in Krasnoyarsk for the sixth time.
