Chinese detained in Siberia for illegal border crossing deported from Russia

Three Chinese citizens detained in December 2001 in Novosibirsk (Siberia) for illegal border crossing were deported from Russia, according to the ruling of one of local courts.

The Chinese using fake documents attempted to get to Germany via Russia's territory. The perpetrators were detained at Tolmachyovo airport in Novosibirsk during the passport control procedure prior to boarding the Frankfurt flight. Since their detention the Chinese were kept in custody in one of local pre-trial detention centres.
