Antiterrorism meeting to take place in Moscow today

Today mass antiterrorism rally will take place by St. Bazil’s Cathedral in Moscow.

Tuesday 7 Sep 2004, Moscow: Antiterrorist meeting will take place on Vasilievsky spusk by Kremlin.

Union Federation of Moscow has been the one to initiated the campaign. City’s authorities along with various public organizations willingly supported the initiative.

Organizers of the campaign hope to see at least 100 000 people, reports RIA “Novosti”.

A special gathering area for those who are willing to participate in the campaign will be arranged by the “Kitai Gorod” metro station. According to the prefecture of Moscow’s central administrative district, every person will be thorough searched by police. Afterward, all participants will be escorted to the place specially designated for the manifestation.

Some routes will be temporary closed, reported GIBDD press-services. Traffic will be completely shut down all along the Vasilievski spusk and the surrounding routes. GIBDD (State Inspection of highway control) suggest Moscow drivers to choose alternative routes.

The meeting will take place at 5:00PM MSK.
