About 10,000 Young People Hold A Symbolic March In The Centre Of Moscow

About 10,000 young people aged 15-22, the supporters of the movement "Going Together," participated on Wednesday in the symbolic march under the slogan "It's time to clean." Other slogans read as follows: "Down with vulgarity," "Down with garbage in brains," "Clean our television," "President Putin, we are with you." Press-secretary of the movement Konstantin Lebedev said that the aim of the action that was of social rather than of political nature was to "clear Russia of immorality." Dressed in the aprons of cleaners, the demonstrators moved in a powerful column along the centre of Moscow collecting garbage on the way to throw it at the end of the march into special white bins. Then the movement's groups headed for various districts of Moscow where they also cleaned streets and squares. According to the movement's press-secretary, such actions "Going Together" will be held simultaneously on November 7 not only in Moscow but also in 50 other cities of Russia. According to data of law-enforcement bodies, no disorders were seen during the march.
