AvtoVAZ releases production results - 8 September, 2003

AvtoVAZ's production volume dropped by 12 percent to 448,016 automobiles in the period from January to August 2003 against the corresponding period of last year, sources in the company told RBC. In particular, the automobile manufacturer assembled 138,730 cars of the VAZ-2110 family. Some 62,147 cars were exported.

In August 2003, AvtoVAZ manufactured 65,479 automobiles at its main production line.

On the whole, the company is planning to assemble about 710,000 automobiles this year, compared to 703,000 automobiles in 2002.
