Putin wants Netherlands to apologize for assault of Russian diplomat

Russian President Vladimir Putin called the beating of Russian diplomat Dmitry Borodin in the Netherlands a flagrant violation of the Vienna Convention. Putin demanded the authorities of the Netherlands should explain, apologize and punish the guilty.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Dutch police, despite the inviolability of diplomatic premises, under a far-fetched pretext broke into the house of a Russian diplomat, beat him and took the man to the police station, where he was released only in the morning.
