Murmansk Governor to Sign Contracts with Norwegians

Murmansk Region Governor Yuri Evdokimov left on an official visit to Vadsyo, Norway on Tuesday. He is expected to sign three contracts relating to radiation security on the Koli Peninsula, according to Rosbalt.

In part the contracts will provide for the building of a conduit on the Andreyev bay, utilization of sources of food for sailors containing radioactive material, and testing of new sun panels, said the Murmansk region press service. The cost of the three projects, which is being financed by the Norwegian side is USD 1.8 million.

Evdokimov is also expected to speak at a session of the Finmark provincial assembly. Vadsyo is located in the Finmark province. He is expected to give a summary of the cooperation between the two provinces for the last few years and discuss perspectives for further cooperation.
