The fifth international Expo-Coal 2002 exhibition-fair will be held in the city of Kemerovo from September 10 through 13. According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, this is the only Russian exhibition covering the whole infrastructure of coal industry, including coal-related machinery production, the processing of coal, sales, and coal-based power production. The participants include Russian and foreign companies and research centres that have to do with the industry, investment and financial companies, banks, and trade representatives throughout the world.
The international Energy Security of Russia: New Approaches to Developing Coal Industry academic and practical conference is supposed to be held while the exhibition-fair lasts. Also held will be seminars for coal professionals and presentations of Russian and foreign companies.
The Expo-Coal 2002 exhibition-fair is organised by the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the International Mining Congress, the administration of the Kemerovo Region, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Expo-Siberia exhibition company of Kuzbass.
