Duma not for me: Chubais

To be State Duma member is the last thing Anatoli Chubais intends to do. "It will be wrong to leave the Russian power industrial reform halfway," the president of the United Russian Power Grid (EES) company told the media.

At its congress of two days ago, the opposition party, Union of Right Forces, put Mr. Chubais in the Top Three on its ticket for next December's election to the State Duma, parliament's lower house.

"I am running for the Duma to improve Rights' situation, but I shall not work at parliament if we are a success," said the prominent political and business activist.
