According to the press service of the Moscow Electoral Committee, the inauguration of the elected mayor will be held on Thursday, September 12.
His runner-up, blogger Alexei Navalny, received 27.24 percent of votes. The third place belongs to Communist Ivan Melnikov (CPRF), with 10.69 percent of the vote. The fourth - Yabloko candidate Sergei Mitrokhin, with 3.51 percent.
Mikhail Degtyarev of the Liberal Democratic Party comes next (2.86 percent) and Nikolai Levichev of Just Russia - 2.79 percent.
Navalny had refused to recognize the results and demanded a second round of the vote.
