15 Chechens Liquidated in 24 Hours

The Russian Armed Forces announced last Thursday that 15 Chechen terrorists had been killed during special operations by Federal troops.

Colonel Boris Podopriga, Vice-Commander of the Russian military forces in Chechnya, stated to ITAR-TASS that armed confrontations with Chechen terrorists took place in the regions of Shali and Achjoi Martan and the city of Argun. These confrontations resulted in the death of 15 terrorists, whose presence had been pointed out to Russian Army personnel by local Chechen civilians, according to Colonel Podopriga.

A group of 60 armed terrorists had previously been sighted in the area of Shali. These terrorists are Chechen bandits, supported by Arab and Al-Qaeda mercenaries.
