Moscow court amends sentence to Pussy Riot member

The Moscow City Court on Wednesday considered an appeal against the Pussy Riot sentence.

The court decided to sentence Ekaterina Samutsevich to two years on probation with a test period of two years. The punishment against Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova was left unchanged.

On August 17, the Khamovniki Court of Moscow sentenced the three members of the infamous punk band to two years in prison.

The Moscow City Court was to consider the appeal on October 1. However, Ekaterina Samutsevich refused from the services of her lawyer Violetta Volkova. In connection with this, the court meeting was postponed to October 10.
