2005 Bandy World Championship To Be Held In Kazan

The 2005 bandy world championship will be held in Kazan, Tatarstan's capital, said Tatar Minister of Youth and Sport Affairs Marat Bariyev. Tatarstan's President Mintimer Shaimiyev and President of the International and Russian Bandy Federation Albert Pomortsev have discussed this issue in Kazan recently. According to the minister, one more skating-rink with artificial ice will be constructed in Kazan for the coming championship. Kazan was also proposed to hold the international Tatar President's prize bandy tournament, the minister added. Its terms will be determined later.
