The Russian Aircraft Corporation MiG has signed an agreement with Poland on upgrading MiG-29 fighters of the Polish Air Force, the press service of the company reported. The press service has not elaborated on the parameters of the deal, however it said that they would be announced at the international air show MAKS-2003, which would be held in Zhukovsky, the Moscow region, on August 19 to 24. Moreover, MiG General Director Nikolay Nikitin and the Polish Air Force Commander agreed to make an agreement on supplying MiG-AT training aircraft to Poland after these planes go through the certification procedure.
The Russian Aircraft Corporation MiG was formed in 1999. It includes 14 enterprises. The holding is based on the Mikoyan Design Bureau, which has designed about 200 projects of combat aircraft. MiG has manufactured more than 60,000 aircraft, including 11,000 that have been exported to more than 40 countries. The portfolio of orders of the company amounts to $1.5bn.
