LUKoil is set to contribute USD 10 million to investment projects in Georgia, according to Vagit Alekperov, head of LUKoil, who made the announcement at a Thursday meeting with Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili in the presidential office. As reported to Rosbalt in the state office building, the two discussed the activities of LUKoil in Georgia and perspectives for its enlargement.
Following the meeting, the Russian businessman told journalists that Saakashvili had approved the company's plans in Georgia. He said that, in particular, they concern the enlargement of the retail market in the republic for the company's production.
